A Simple Handshake
I just wanted to let you know how much a simple hand shake can mean to a struggling addict. The new guy that was with me at “Hang Overs” name is Mark Mueller. You took the time to shake his hand and introduce yourself to him. He told me that he has been to numerous “recovery” groups and he has never felt like people really cared about anything but themselves and there was never any feelings of personal care. When you shook this mans hand he asked me if you were the guy who started RU. When I informed him you were he related this to Bill W from AA. It amazed him that you were so closely involved with the classes. I told him about how I felt loved the first time I came to RU and have felt that ever since. Mark said that was what has always been missing, LOVE. He asked me why we were different and I told him about Christ. The end result is this brother got saved that night! Praise God for the LOVE! Thanks for all you do and for the example you set.
